I’m taking a big leap this year—shifting from a pure this platform writer to a dual-platform blogger with my personal website at the center.
After writing 30 stories over 5 months, I realized I needed more control.
Here’s why I’m doing it, how I’ll make it happen, and what it means for my readers (and me) in 2025.
Why This Platform’s Model Is Broken for Serious Creators
Don’t get me wrong—this platform is incredible for building an initial audience and credibility. But here’s what I learned:
1. This Platform Monetization Model Has Changed
This platform now rewards only reads by paying members. That means
- Non-member eyes = $0 (even if they stay to the end).
- Viral social media traffic = $0 revenue. My viral tweets and LinkedIn posts drive 5,000–10,000 impressions, but most of those readers can’t click through to read without an account or subscription.
2. My Effort vs. My Earnings
Let me break down what 5 months on this platform actually looked like:
- 30 stories written → 30,000 total views
- Average read completion: ~45% (13,500 full reads)
- Paying members: Less than 30% of readers
- Total earnings: Roughly $30 for dozens of hours
Meanwhile, I see another 5,000 impressions per article on social, all going unmonetized.
3. Control & Ownership
You’re building your audience on someone else’s platform.
- They control the algorithm
- They control the monetization
- They control your reader relationships
- They control your content’s future
But what if there was a better way?
How I’ll Build “Blog + Canonical System here”
Here’s how I’m transforming from a writer into a multi-platform creator business:
Phase 1. Launch My Personal Blog
- Platform Choice: Will build a custom website in Jaspr with built-in SEO.
- Smart Canonical Strategy: Use this platform’s “Import story” to repost my articles, setting the canonical URL back to my blog and vice versa via “Export story.”
Why this works: I keep all the SEO authority while still accessing built-in audience here .
Phase 2: The Social Amplification System
X Premium Investment ($8/month):
- Tweets from a verified account get 2×–4× the reach.
- My 10,000 organic impressions could become 20,000–40,000, doubling or quadrupling blog pageviews overnight for just $8/mo.
- ROI: Every $8 invested returns $50+ in additional blog revenue
LinkedIn Strategy Evolution:
- Native carousels with hooks: LinkedIn now rewards dwell time over outbound links.
- Link placement at the end: “Full deep-dive on my blog →”
Community-First Approach:
- Reddit niche communities (5,000+ regular impressions)
- Discord value-first sharing
- Always link to my blog, not here, to capture ad revenue.
As of now, from 2025, SEO is changed due to content summarization and AI; we need to get traffic from the other platforms. SEO alone is not enough.
Phase 3: The Revenue Multiplication
- Target: 10,000–15,000 monthly blog sessions
- Projected RPM: $10–20 per 1,000 views
- Conservative projection: $150/month in ad revenue alone

My Hybrid Monetization Funnel
This isn’t just about switching platforms—it’s about creating a system where each piece amplifies the others:

1. The Foundation: Posts Drive Everything
Starting with 1,000 followers here, here’s how each article will perform:
- 10,000 lifetime views per post (that’s a 10:1 follower-to-view ratio)
- 2,000 clicks to my blog (20% click-through rate)
- $30 revenue per article ($15 RPM on blog pageviews)
2. The X Premium and Social Platforms Multiplier Effect
Adding X Premium to promote each post changes the game.
- 2× boost in social media reach
- Blog clicks double from 2,000 to 4,000 per article
- Revenue jumps from $30 to $60 per article
- After the $8/month X Premium cost: net gain of $52 per article
3. Building the Email Engine
Those 1,000 followers from here convert into email subscribers.
- Email list of 1,000 subscribers
- Attracts $100 in sponsorship revenue per month
- Consistent passive income stream
4. Affiliate Revenue Stream
Strategic affiliate link placement across content:
- 10 affiliate clicks per month
- $0.50 average commission per click
- $50 monthly affiliate income
The Monthly Math (Publishing 4 Articles)
Here’s how it all adds up:
Per Article Revenue:
- Base blog revenue: $30
- X Premium boost: +$52
- Total per article: $82
Monthly Breakdown:
- 4 articles × $82 = $328
- Email sponsorships: $100
- Affiliate commissions: $50
Total Monthly Revenue: $430. (Just For Reference could be much higher.)
The magic isn’t in any single revenue stream — it’s in how they compound. This platform builds the audience, X Premium amplifies the reach, email captures the relationship, and affiliates monetize the trust. Each piece makes the others more valuable.
Human-First & Data-Driven
I’m not chasing numbers for their own sake. My goal is simple:
Create richer, more valuable content — and get paid fairly when people read it.
By owning my platform, I can:
- Deliver bonus resources (PDF guides, mini-courses) via email.
- Run thoughtful sponsorships and affiliate partnerships that genuinely help my readers—no hard sell.
- Respond quickly to feedback: adjust formats, topics, and monetization so that the blog grows with you.

What This Means for You
- Seamless Reading: You’ll find my stories both here (with canonical links) and on my own site—pick your favorite.
- More Free Content: Freely accessible on my blog, no paywall.
- Bonus Extras: Downloadable checklists, code samples, and mini-guides—exclusive to my email community.
- Stronger Community: Monthly live Q&As (Discord & Twitter Spaces) where you can shape future topics.
Your Turn: What’s Your Next Move?
I’m sharing this journey in real-time because transparency builds trust, and trust builds sustainable creator businesses.
If you’re a writer here, consider how you might start building your own platform alongside your current strategy.
If you’re any kind of content creator, think about where your audience truly lives and how you can serve them better.
If you’re a reader who values quality content, know that supporting creators who own their platforms means you’re investing in better, more sustainable content.
Final Thoughts
This isn’t just a technical pivot—it’s my commitment to transparency, reader value, and long-term relationship building.
I’m excited to take you along on this journey: from this platform’s cozy ecosystem to a more open, flexible home where every click, every subscriber, and every conversation fuels the next chapter of professional blogging in 2025.
